Question 1

Is Free really free forever?

Accepted Answer

Yes. 5 edits a day, every day, no card needed.

Question 2

What counts as an edit?

Accepted Answer

Each message you send that edits a PDF counts as one, including re-edits and follow-ups in the same chat. Answering a question from Petal, chat-only replies, failed edits, and Pro's checks and automatic fixes don't count.

Question 3

What does "smarter AI for complex edits" mean?

Accepted Answer

Pro plans each edit with a stronger AI. It handles longer requests (up to 20 steps), breaks big requests into parts, reads more of your document, and retries a step if it fails.

Question 4

When does Pro check its own work?

Accepted Answer

On tricky edits: requests with several steps, several files or long PDFs, anything that removes or hides content (like redaction or deleting pages), and whenever something looks off. Petal compares the result with what you asked and fixes it automatically, up to twice. Simple edits like rotating or compressing skip this, so they stay fast.

Question 5

What's the difference between Pro mode and Auto mode?

Accepted Answer

Pro mode uses the smarter AI, for 50 edits a day. Auto mode uses our standard AI with unlimited edits. Switch any time in the model menu, and when your Pro edits run out, Petal offers to continue in Auto.

Question 6

What is fair use?

Accepted Answer

Pro is for real personal and work use. After heavy use in a billing month, Pro edits may use standard processing until renewal. In an unusually heavy month Auto can slow down. Everything resets on your renewal date. Normal use never gets near it.

Question 7

Can I cancel anytime?

Accepted Answer

Yes, from Settings > Account. You keep Pro until the end of the month you paid for.

Question 8

Which payment methods work?

Accepted Answer

In India: UPI Autopay, debit and credit cards via Razorpay. Elsewhere: Visa and Mastercard in USD via Dodo Payments.

Question 9

Do you see my card details?

Accepted Answer

No. Payments are handled by Razorpay (India) or Dodo Payments (international). We only keep your plan and renewal date.

Question 10

Refunds?

Accepted Answer

Payments aren't refundable except for mistakes. Email aryanfeb17@gmail.com.
